Welcome back to the Courtland Towers Blog! In our last post, we highlighted some of the great amenities available here at our Arlington, Virginia apartment community. Today, we are sharing some delicious recipes for some game day food that you can enjoy this year on Super Bowl Sunday. Watch the game from the comfort of your apartment as you stuff your face with some great food.
Mini Cheese Popovers from Good Housekeeping
These fluffy, cheesy popovers make a great party appetizer or a savory snack. Use a muffin tin to make them. You will need the following ingredients: all-purpose flour, salt, whole milk, a large egg, finely chopped chives, nonstick cooking spray, and grated cheddar cheese.
Mini Potato Skins from The Baker Mama
Loaded with cheese, chopped bacon, sour cream, and green onions, we think these potato skins are a win! No matter what the outcome of the game might be, you will feel like a winner when eating these. Ingredients: mini or small white potatoes, salt, olive oil, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and green onions.
Baked Chicken Wings from Gold Medal Flour
Chicken wings are a must-have at a Super Bowl party. To make these tasty wings you’ll need chicken wings, salt and pepper, hot sauce, vegetable oil, Gold Medal all-purpose flour, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and melted butter.
Chicken Fajita Dip from Miss Information
A Super Bowl party isn’t complete without some chips and dip! While a store-bought dip works perfectly well, if you want to make it a bit extra or show off your cooking skills, this recipe is a great one to try. We love the idea of using hot sauce for “an extra depth of flavor.”
Homemade Soft Pretzel Bites from Two Peas and Their Pod
The mix of salty and soft pretzels with a cheesy sauce can’t be beat. Gather up these ingredients to make them: warm water, light brown sugar, active dry yeast, unsalted butter, kosher salt, all-purpose flour, vegetable oil, baking soda, an egg, coarse sea salt, milk, and cheddar cheese.
